I don't know about you, but the healthy habit I find the most difficult is getting my water in every day. If I don't stay focused, I can get to the end of the day and realize I have had practically nothing to drink! No good!
I had to find a way to keep track of what I was drinking so I knew exactly where I was, and where I needed to be (I mean, isn't that a good thing for most goals? Yes. Yes it is.) Here is what I found!
So, there are a couple ways we can do this. There are the old school ways and the new school ways. Both have value, both are 100% functional, and you may find that a combination of both is what works for you!
I love these marked off water bottles. This one from Twinkle Twinkle Lil Jar on Etsy is one of my favorites because glitter! I would have to go through this bottle three times to hit my water goals, but the lines are still super helpful!
As much as I love my phone I am a paper planner girl through and through. If you are too, there are a TON of water tracking stickers on Etsy. This one from KGPlans is my favorite because it doesn't take up a ton of space, but still lets me track all of my cups.
Pretty bottles and cute stickers are all well and good, but sometimes you just need something that will get the job done. Go grab a gallon bottle and a sharpie and go to town!
I know I said I love my paper planner but let's face it...it doesn't yell at me when I haven't had any water all day! My phone can do that. Here are a few of my favorite apps.
Simple, clean, basic. It will alert you when you haven't tracked your water, and you can set how often you want that alarm to go off. An overall great app!
Plant Nanny (iOS)(android):
OK, I'm a big fat dork and I like cute things. This is the app I have on my phone right now, and you better believe I want to keep that cute little plant alive! Hey, whatever gets the job done, right?
Android seems to have the best of both worlds all in one app. Functional and cute! Win/win!
So, how are you going to make sure you get all of your water in today? I promise, you will feel better when you do!
Be bright, be fit.
